Delete an account or data

Your online account and your local game data are separate. Here’s how to remove each one.

Delete an online account in the app

If your build supports online accounts, open the online wallet, sign in and choose Delete account. Complete any security confirmation requested by the app.

This removes the Firebase sign-in identity and associated online wallet, inventory and ledger records. Local room progress and saved photo-derived content remain on your device. Minimal one-way account and credited-transaction hashes remain to prevent the same purchase being credited again.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app, email legal@codeobscura.com with the subject “Hamster Home account deletion”. Use the address associated with the account where possible. We may ask for proportionate verification so that another person cannot delete your account.

Request account deletion

You can request deletion without reinstalling the app. Do not include your password, a personal photo or a full store receipt. We respond within the period required by applicable privacy law and explain any information that must be retained.

Remove local game data and photos

Use available in-app delete or reset controls to remove saved pet content and local progress. On Android, you can also clear the app’s storage in system settings. Removing the app can remove its local data; on iPhone, deleting an app differs from offloading it, which can retain data.

A copy may remain in a device backup. Manage those backups through Apple, Google or your backup provider. Deleting an online account does not delete your photo library or cancel a store-managed purchase.

Statistics and provider records

Turn play statistics off in the app to stop further optional app events. That choice does not automatically delete records already processed by Firebase Analytics or AppsFlyer. Email legal@codeobscura.com if you want help requesting deletion of identifiable provider records.

Some purchase, security or fraud-prevention information may need to be retained for the purposes explained in the privacy policy.
